zaai studio

Privacy note

Plain language, no fine print. This covers the details you share with us when you ask to speak to a Zaai expert, and the details people gave us on the waitlist before Zaai Studio opened, which we still hold.

What we collect

When you ask to speak to an expert: your name, your email, your WhatsApp number if you give one, your business name, a link to your existing site or social page if you have one, what you need, a rough budget band if you pick one, a timeline if you pick one, and whatever you write in the message.

If you joined the waitlist: the waitlist is closed and Zaai Studio is open to everyone, so there is nothing new to collect. We still hold what was given at the time: name, contact details (email and WhatsApp), business name, and what was said about the business.

When you submit the form we also keep a spam-protection signal: a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user agent. We do not store the raw IP address or user agent, and the hash cannot be turned back into them. It only lets us spot spam and repeat abuse.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see rough page traffic. It is cookieless: it sets no tracking cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you across other websites.

Why we collect it

Consultation enquiries: so a person can reply to you, arrange the call, and prepare a written quote for what you discussed. That is the only thing we use them for.

Waitlist details: so we can contact you about Zaai Studio and pick up where your brief left off. That is the only thing we use them for.

Neither is sent to an AI model, and we do not use either to train anything.

Who helps us handle it

We never sell your information. To run this website we share only what each of these trusted providers needs to do its job:

Some of these providers process data outside South Africa. POPIA allows this, and we only pass on the minimum each one needs.

How long we keep it

Consultation enquiries: we keep them while we are talking to you and for 24 months after the last contact, so we can honour a quote and answer questions about work we did. After that we delete or anonymise them.

Waitlist details: once you have either come on board or told us you are not interested, we delete or anonymise them, and in any case no longer than 24 months after the day you joined.

You can ask us to remove either sooner at any time. The spam-protection hash lives with the record it belongs to and goes when it does.

Your rights (POPIA)

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it at any time. Email raees@zaaistudio.com and we will sort it out.
